A rare treat

Last tasted in the early 1990s and have just recently wanted to enjoy its smooth taste once again and alas it has eluded me for a time now I can only hope to enjoy once again.......

Vide above.

There is a distinct and somewhat appealing flavour to it. Perhaps I am biased as Sir John Stewart was my great uncle. I have a number of artefacts, including playing cards from the early 1900s and even a pen with Sir John’s name on it.
I shall start seeking out as many team of the Barley bottles as I can to add to the various items I already have. I also have several cigar boxes at one time owned by Sir John.
His son, Bruce, emigrated to New Zealand and after serving in the Air Force there went on to farm sheep.
Two of his grandsons played for the All Blacks and one, Robbie, captained them.
Good night.

My favorite

The last time I had Cream of the Barley was 1994 when I was in Scotland on business. Brought some home, really enjoyed it.I have never been able to find it in the U.S. I am still looking and will celebrate the day I find it!

A great birthday present, my favourite of the blends.

I was given a bottle of this for my birthday and what a lovely surprise. Usually being a single malt man, I found this to be a hidden gem amongst the blended fraternity. Definitely a blended whisky I will be acquiring again.
