Winner of 2 awardsStarward has combined malted barley and wheat to create Two-Fold, a marvellous whisky from Melbourne which has been allowed to mature entirely in Australian red wine casks. A big, fruit-forward dram that suits sipping over ice on a warm evening or even used in cocktails.

Time after time I review a "cheapish" whisky and hope for an "expensive" outcome. It is going to be fluked from time to time but that is the reality. In this case my hope was dashed once again. Is it the red-wine barrel and/or its youth to account for this offering being slightly disjointed? The whole experience is over-powering in a not-too-pleasant way.
Very smooth, great on the palate with limited aftertaste, perfect straight, on ice or with a mixer.
Addicted to it! Smooth, nectar, easy to drink. Love the palate and finish!
Introductory whiskey for beginners. Absolutely divine.
A disappointing introduction to Australian whiskies. Nothing makes me want to come back to this bottle, I had about 2 glasses before deciding to order something else. It's not especially vile-tasting, but just so boring to drink.. can't think of any situation where this stuff would particularly shine. Still, the bottle looks half-decent and it may be a good party choice if it were closer to $35-$40AUD.
