Sherry
Softly smoky single malt English whisky here from St George's Distillery, released as part of The English range. This particular edition was matured in sherry casks, bringing some sweetness into the mix and complementing the peaty salinity of the spirit. A great evening dram, this.
Red apple, raisin and a hint of hot chocolate, with lingering oaky smoke drifting through.
Thyme honey, stewed plum and earthy peat, plus some crunchy brown sugar.
Light and floral on the finish.
