The English - Smokey Oak
The English Whisky Co. is back with another release, and this one is Smokey Oak! The small batch peated whisky from St George's Distillery was allowed to rest in bourbon casks, and is bottled at 46% ABV. It's peaty and spicy, a great released from The English Whisky Co. folks.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cured meat surrounded by thick peat smoke, with a dash of lemon juice livening it up.
Palate
More rich peat, paprika, smoke meat, warming root ginger and candied lemon.
Finish
The smoke continues into a lengthy, dry finish.
