Distilled in April 2000, this single cask release of Springbank 16 year old whisky matured in a single first fill Sherry butt! A limited release of 540 bottles.
These bottles were part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Dark fruits. Prunes, dates, roasted nuts, walnuts and raisins and dunnage warehouse.
Lots of sherry influence. Fairly nutty as the nose suggests. Barbecue smoke, coastal/salty with traces of spent matches.
Dry with hints of cinnamon and very moreish!
Very good dram
Very nice dram worth the money, but little hard to find.
