Hazelburn 21 Year Old
Exceedingly impressive single malt from Springbank, released under the unpeated Hazleburn name. Matured for 21 years, this cracking Campbeltown spent its time in a 70/30 combo of sherry and bourbon casks, which eventually yielded a total of 3,600 bottled, released in June 2022.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sticky treacle and sugared dates, chocolate raisins with mixed nuts, and crumbled ginger biscuits.
Palate
Toasted marzipan opens the way for sweet dried apricot and flaky almond croissants, with more warming ginger poking through.
Finish
A dash of bitter cocoa with dried cherries followed by distant wafts of wood polish and clove.
