Green Spot is a fabulous single pot still whiskey and much loved by the critics. This Irish whiskey has come far from the days when it was only sold in Mitchell's grocer shop in the heart of Dublin, though its flavour profile is still just as robust. The whiskey has matured in a combination of first and second fill bourbon casks as well as sherry casks.
Hints of peppermint, malt, sweet barley, sugary porridge, creamy vanilla, papaya and citrus.
Spicy and soft, gentle bourbon oak, green woods, menthol, potpourri.
Creamy, long finish, vanilla.

Another great Irish pot still whiskey from the Midleton distillery that I would say gives Redbreast 12 a run for it's money, let's dive right in! On the nose creamy banana pudding , a hint of peppermint as well as caramelized sugar (pretty sure a bourbon cask was used at some point in the maturation), on the palate the creamy banana pudding takes the front seat with some shortbread and minty/ herbal notes as well as sweet barley and toffee. The creamy mouthfeel alone makes this worth seeking out this is truly the cream of the crop. I would drink this far more often if it was a little more available here this is a great daily dram. Slainte! The Sugarbear
Another top class pot still, but a little light for some tastes and lacks real depth, but one to always keep in a rotation
This is as good as it gets at this price. Every single dram tastes different - fruity, spicy, vanilla cream, oak, brown sugar. It's a feast, you won't regret it.
Good and balanced but slightly thin or watery in taste. Does not tolerate any water addition or becomes completely flat. I'll stick with Redbreast and Jameson in the future.
Amazing whiskey. Found the apple freshness so addictive. Highly recommended
