Spirit of Hven MerCurious Corn Whisky
From Spirit of Hven comes a wonderfully creamy corn whisky, MerCurious! Its mash bill consists of 88% Swedish corn, 5% wheat, 3.5% barley and 3.5% rye, and matured in American virgin oak. The folks at Spirit of Hven take quite a bit of inspiration from astronomy, and this expression is inspired by the smallest planet in the Solar System, Mercury!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Raspberry and white chocolate muffin, vanilla sponge topped with buttercream, pear drops and nougat, supported by toffee apple.
Palate
Butterscotch, pear tart, mint chocolate and caramel popcorn, alongside buttered corn on the cob.
Finish
Lemon boiled sweeties, with earthy vanilla and some of that oak coming through.
