Sir Edwards 1l Bottling Note

Barident's Sir Edward's is a blended Scotch whisky not often seen on these shores - you're much more likely to find it if you head to France.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Notes of nutty brown bread, green bananas and a touch of orange zest.

Palate: Cinnamon, coconut ice and lingering liquorice.

Finish: White pepper and more banana notes.

Sir Edwards 1l Reviews

A Great buy

Amazing crispy texture of almonds, honey, bananas.

Deliciously malty, sweetish scotch; very satisfactory for the $ cost of it.

I have just purchased a 70cl bottle of this blended Scotch whisky at a supermarket in Argentina, and quickly learned from its label that this whisky was distilled and aged in (the heart of) Scotland (Edinburgh?) in oak casks, but then blended and bottled in Blanquefort, France (by Bardinet). Does this apply also to your own 1 litre bottles, in your own country?
I tried it already, and it is a very nice, mellow, sweet and satisfying drink. The taste of malt does it all, a bit biscuity & sweet, and perhaps the wooden note at the sides. Wonderful for the relatively low $ cost. Sláinte to everyone!

An inexpensive great tasting blended Scotch!

Very balanced, smooth and tasty blended whiskey!
I had blended popular brands twice the price, not as good...
I will definitely buy it again if available...(I got the one and only bottle from the self at SAQ ...
I hope they get more in stock!

Very nice one

Subtle, elegant and velvety in texture! Fragrant, dried fruits on the nose, and especially dried orange and I totally agree, five stars for a twin stars price. Personally, slightly chilled the bottle in the fridge and drink it neat, it is very important where you are living in the hot-weather area of the globe.

Easy on palate. Not harsh kind of session whisky. Like a session beer. Share the bottle share the warmth and the anecdotes
