From German indie bottlers Sansibar comes a particularly peaty blended malt Scotch whisky. No clues as to where any of the whiskies came from (other than Scotland, obviously), but will be interesting to see if any peat experts can pick out a few distinctively smoky notes...
Sweet peat smoke drifts up from the glass, paired with honey, hops and green apple.
BBQ pineapple, barrel char and a kick of red chilli.
Lasting burnt oak notes.

Lagavulin smoke for sure! You can really feel the notes of red chilli, even the heat of chilli for a breif time. This is a beast but I am not sure it is worth the price as there are many other great whiskys in this range.
