Rossville Union Bottle in Bond Straight Rye 6 Year Old
A six-year-old straight rye whiskey from Indiana's Ross & Squibb distillery! Distilled from a mash bill of 51% rye and 49% malted barley, the whiskey spent at least six years maturing before it was selected by master distiller Ian Stirsman and bottled at a satisfying 50% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Woody notes of cedar and oak char, vanilla, coffee beans, and a touch of fresh mint.
Palate
Runny caramel, mocha, candied orange wheels and stewed stone fruit, with cinnamon and cocoa nestling beneath.
Finish
Green apple, some herbaceous mint, warming spice, slightly burnt biscuits.
