Description

The historic Ross & Squibb distillery in Lawrenceburg was founded in 1847 and lays claim to being one of America's last prohibition-era distilleries. This is its seven-year-old straight rye whiskey, presented at a robust 58.5% ABV.

Nose

Toasted vanilla, charred oak, peppercorns and woody spice.

Palate

Runny caramel and robust oak join cinnamon, buttered rye bread, and nutmeg.

Finish

A supple balance of rich oak and rye spice.
