A delightful single pot still Irish whiskey, Redbreast 12 Year Old is highly praised by a host of notable critics. Distilled at the Midleton site from malted and unmalted barley, it’s then matured in a combination of American oak bourbon barrels and Spanish oak Oloroso sherry butts. We can't get enough of this multi-award-winning whiskey.
Nutty, rich and oily. There are notes of dried peels, ginger, linseed and cut fruits including a touch of melon.
Spicy with great body. Nuts and citrus (peel and juice) with hints of marzipan, dried fruits and a hint of Sherry. You turn it over in your mouth forever.
Long and creamy with custard and spice.

I'm a big bourbon guy and thought no way a mild little 80 proof Irish whiskey can do anything for me. I was wrong! While this is mild, it has so much delicious flavor I keep pouring more. No doubt this will be a go to for some time to come.
If Willy Wonka made whiskey, he'd make Redbreast. Its sumptuous, luxurious, mouth watering heaven. The grain and spice are there for balance, and it lingers...awaiting your next sip. Its the only spirit i enjoy swishing around in my mouth coating every taste bud.
Classic single pot still style... thick, rich and delicious. Mass produced, but this is the baseline for a good solid drinkable and delicious Irish whiskey! Given the price point, this is a reasonable value, and given that it is one of the last of these styles standing it deserves 5 stars.
Unbelievable! For the price, here in Romania, it's a masterpiece!
I never really cared for Irish whiskey, prior to buying a bottle of Redbreast 12. I've always felt Irish whiskey to be a bit light in style and not offering anything a I can't get from a ordinary Speyside single malt. However, after buying a bottle of this... everything changed. Redbreast 12 is without a doubt the best whisky I've ever had. It is truly a masterpiece! And for about 35 pounds, here in Sweden, it's an absolute bargain.
