Rebel Bourbon

Famous bourbon brand Rebel Yell has undergone a rebrand for a new generation of rebels. "Rowdy yet refined", this new look straight bourbon is the original recipe made with wheat, corn and malted barley.

Please note: The quality of the label may show some scuffing, but fear not, the bourbon within is unaffected!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Honey, vanilla, slightly woody raisin and candy sticks.

Palate Sultanas, nectarine and hints of prune. Vanilla throughout.

Finish Warming pressed apple.

Overall Still enjoyable in the midnight hour.

Reviews for Rebel Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Favourite Bourbon
Good enough to sip and works well mixed. Classic bourbon.

The taste and the price. I would say, it’s good. Smooth, citrus vanilla notes, just a little spicy. Taste good neat or on the rocks.
It’s a good bourbon whiskey amongst its price range.

Need more REBEL
Absolutely love it, I own a few and am constantly looking for others. Then I see this page and see even more bottles. ie french oak, small batch, small batch rye. Have Rebel yell, Rebel 100 , Rebel distiller’s collection. Old Ezra 7. Need the Rebel 10 can’t find anywhere in TN. I want them ALL

Don't listen to the haters
I think this stuff has a very pleasant taste. I am a complete "amateur" in the whole "whiskey snob" universe, but I know what I like, and I like Rebel (Yell), or whatever you prefer to call it now.
I've tried about a 1/2 dozen bottom to mid shelf brands in the last year, and Rebel is the best one by quite a bit that I've tried. I thought Evan Williams tasted like gasoline, Ezra Brooks was pretty good, but Rebel just appeals to me for some reason, maybe because it's a "wheater", but for me it gets the job done.

It’s just a good Bourbon
Have tried other reasonably priced Bourbons but keep coming back to Rebel Yell. I don’t pretend to have refined taste but I know what I like, and I like Rebel Yell.

Hope REBEL YELL but not REBEL can come back
I think "REBEL YELL" taste and smell is so different from the new name REBEL. Rebel Yell is much more smooth and the smell is great. Please bring back the original recipe and the way REBEL YELL was made....

Odd, chemical flavor - - not good for even $20 whiskey
Not good, even for the price. I prefer $40-50ish bottles of bourbon but given the quantity I drink, I usually buy Four Roses (preferred) or Jim Beam as a cheap $20ish bottle of everyday bourbon. Saw Rebel tonight for $21 in upstate NY and decided to try. There is nothing special about those two but they at least taste like "bourbon". Rebel, on the other hand, has a hard-to-place weirdness to the taste that just isn't right. A little chemical tasting maybe? I am no expert, but the taste and mouthfeel remind me of some of the bad "whiskey blends" that mix whiskey with grain spirits. Will definitely not buy again.

Inexpensive good bourbon.
I like the smell of this bourbon. Pretty smooth to drink neat. I mixed with Diet Pepsi and it is very good.
