Proper No. Twelve is a blended Irish whiskey produced with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder. Featuring malt and grain whiskeys drawn from bourbon barrels, nearly 100 blends were created before deciding upon the one in the bottle.
Vanilla pod, floral barley and a touch of sandalwood.
Orchard fruit and honey notes arrive first, backed up by a kick of white pepper.
Drying oak heat and a drizzle of caramel.

Got this as a Christmas gift. No comparison to Jameson. Harsh with a bitter after taste that lasts forever. I doubt this is triple distilled.
I just wanted to add on many of these reviews you see people saying it’s amazing or delicious. They are either writing the reviews while drunk or bots. Proper Twelve is just fine. It’s an entry level budget Irish that doesn’t live up to its price but is drinkable. Just not too notch. That is a fact. I know whiskey and whisky. This is an honest review. The label btw is great!
It’s really young whiskey from Bushmills nothing special. Not a single component is one second over three years. That said it has alcohol and grain bite, is sweet but also clean and unmistakably Irish. Powers Jameson Bushmill and Tullamore are same price point and more refined. I actually like it fine nut let’s be honest it’s really not very good for the price point. At $20 maybe.
I made whiskey, my grandfather made whiskey, my father made whiskey. This is definitely not proper.
I bought a bottle, it was so damn good I drank all but an inch of it, it took about 2 days before my vision was back to sort of normal, delicious! My go to.
