Single Malt
Scotland
Bourbon

This 14 year old single malt from the Port Askaig range comes from an undisclosed distillery - though it supposedly was made by a distillery on Islay not known for peated malts... We'll leave you to figure that riddle out. It was allowed to age in first-fill bourbon barrels before being bottled at 45.8% ABV.
Brown sugar, pancakes with fried bananas, a whiff of charred oak.
Rye bread, salted butter, a hint of oatcake and toasted cinnamon.
Light smoke and fresh apricot.

Alot of smoke, a dash of salt and I get the banana as well on the nose, tastes more like charcoal/ashes, crème brûlée, licorice and some salt
Smells a lot of smoke, charcoal and mashed banana and a dash of seasalt. Does not taste too much smoke, more like charcoal /campfire/ash, a little salty, fruit and crème brulée, and a little licorice. The finish is smoky and sweet. Really good whisky and somewhat different, I really like the banana flavor combined with the charcoal.
