Hell's Stone Whisky Bottling Note

A fabulous whisky from the Pocketful of Stones folks! The team begins by brewing up a top-notch craft beer, which is then distilled in their beloved copper pot still named Jackson. The whisky is aged in oak barrels, near St Michael's Mount on the wild Cornish coast before bottling. A fantastic sipper, should be great for cocktails too!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet vanilla and toasted nuts with wafts of soft, aged oak.

Palate: Honey granola and almond croissants, a hint of zesty orange with underlying seaweed.

Finish: Vanilla custard, creamy malt, and roasted nuts, with warming spice on the finish.

Highly recommended!
One of my top 5 favorites! Tried it on holiday. Very tasty and smooth. Well worth the money and highly recommended to anyone who’s never tried it before!

Needs age & wood!
I found it very light. No age to give it character. Could do with sitting in the beer barrels for 10 years on the coast.

Worth trying
This is a light whisky with a distinctive taste. It’s certainly worth the price.

My first Cornish whisky
My dad saw this whilst on holiday and I was sceptical to say the least. That said, had to give it a go, I’d never tried a whisky from Cornwall after all!
We’ll balanced and delicate, subtle biscuit and almond flavours with a slight toffee sweetness at the finish. Very smooth over all, and it left me presently surprised! I’ve already ordered one for a whisky mate of mine so I’ll get him to share his thoughts afterwards.
Really like the folklore elements, often think whisky labels are all a little dated, this is a nice touch and a great story to be reading whilst having a dram.
Very impressed and will keep an eye out for what these guys do next!
