Penderyn Rich Oak
Penderyn's Rich Oak expression has become a permanent part of the Welsh distillery's range! This single malt is initially aged in bourbon casks, but is then allowed a finishing period in rejuvenated European ex-wine casks, adding a helping of fruity freshness to the vanilla-heavy profile.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honeyed cereal and tangy tropical fruits (think mango and papaya). A whiff of old oak furniture hangs around in the background.
Palate
Spiced apple cider, generous vanilla, toasted barley and waxy peels.
Finish
Banana fritters, more honey, subtly floral as it dissipates.
