Penderyn Portwood Whisky

(70cl, 46%)

Penderyn Portwood

Penderyn Portwood Bottling Note

After a number of excellent single Port cask releases (and a 41% release), here's single malt from the Welsh distillery's core range which is initially matured in ex-bourbon casks and then in Portwood casks following that!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Fruity with chocolatey touches. Sweet, jammy and creamy with some toffee and wood spice.

Palate Rounded and warming with more sweet, rich fruit and plum wine.

Finish Sweet goji berries and caramel.

Fantastic tipple.
Nice pleasant taste. Soft and smooth on the palate. This is the 1st time for this brand so there will be further orders.

Best welsh whisky Penderyn produce
This is by far the best whisky the distillery produces.
I tasted this on one of the tours they run last year and absolutely loved it.
Does it warrant the higher price tag? I believe it does as it's a beautifully smooth drink with a superb after taste.
Definately a bottle for the drinks cabinet.
Try it and you will be hooked

Look forward to my new tipple in an evening
It's gorgeous. I'm all for scotch but this has really changed my habits and I'll be having this as my tipple from now on

Wow, Beautiful, Smooth and Light
Wow!
Absolutely beautiful, and considering it’s 46% it’s so smooth and light, do be careful not to get too carried away with it!

A bit expensive butExcellent whisky
On the nose... Immediate reaction quite lethal... Reminded me of some fluid I have in the garage for cleaning paint brushes. But on the palate and taste it was remarkably superb and so much so that I finished the bottle. Ps writing this 24 hours later after I woke up.

Dark and intense. A real pleasure to savour.
Purchased a bottle following attending a whiskey masterclass at Penderecki distillery.
Smooth, with a rich taste of roasted nuts and chocolate, and a heady port/whiskey aroma.
Best drunk solo, from a proper tasting glass to maximise the intense pleasure this whiskey brings.
Definitely one to savour.
