Old Perth Cask Strength

A cask strength edition of the sherry-matured Old Perth blended malt, bolstering those earthy, spicy notes at a healthy 58.6% ABV! As with all Old Perth whiskies, it's bottled without chillfiltering or colouring.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Toffee penny, cherry jam, and bundles of dried fruit.

Palate Earthy root ginger spice, cinnamon stick, and toasted barley.

Finish Brandy-soaked raisins and burnt brown sugar on the finish.

Reviews for Old Perth Cask Strength Blended Malt
The way blends were meant to be
This is very complex, and I am only 28 but this is how I imagine a Vatted Malt must have been in the old days. Its more complex than these tasting notes, as fair as they are. A tiny dash of water, and smells like good aftershave, light black tea, green melon, lemon balm, a bittersweet ascetic thing to it and that's just on the nose.

I was convinced to buy this from their stall at a Christmas Market back in December. I love whisky and generally go for single malts.

For the price: it’s a steal!
A really good: solid, fruity, Sherry forward Scotch. What it lacks in depth it more than makes up for in affordability. If you can find a cask strength single malt that comes close to this quality at this price, please leave a message below; I want some! Well worth a try! Especially if you only buy single malts but find the price hike’s disagreeable. Blended malts may be you new daily drinkers!

Quality dram!
Received this as a Christmas present and was not disappointed! Needs a little water added to give the perfect dram.

A great dram - great value!
Recently tasted in a blind group tasting up against some much more expensive whiskies - some single malts. Came out top!

Good for price probably a wee bit young
My goodness quite a dry malt long legs and when poured bubbles on the side cinnamon red fruit and vanilla hiding in a palatable malt be sure you serve with a good soft water
