Octomore 10 Year Old - Fourth Edition
It's the fourth edition of Octomore 10 Year Old from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay, and this particular edition was distilled back in 2009. After a decade of maturation, it was bottled up at 54.3% ABV. This one has been peated to an intense 208 PPM, so expect plenty of smoky notes here.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Nutmeg, black pepper, cinder toffee, peat fields and sea breeze.
Palate
A rush of smoke, with salinity and peppery spice, but well-balanced by juicy fruit and leafy hints of spearmint.
Finish
Peat sticks around for minutes afterwards.
