A very rare single malt whisky from Cadenhead's Authentic Collection, this was distilled at the North Port distillery in 1977 and it was aged for 25 years in a bourbon hogshead before bottling at natural cask strength in 2002.
Some wax and fresh fruits, grapefruit and melon.
The flavours get jammier on the palate, with nutmeg and pepper and toffee sweetness.
Not hugely long, fading away on a dry note.
A very nice 12-year-old malt with a good balance between sweet and dry notes.
To bad their fine lad, it was heaven on earth.
