North British 30 Year Old 1988 (Master of Malt)
Another well-aged grain for our own Master of Malt bottling series, and why not? You love 'em (based on how they fly out!), we certainly love 'em, and well just look at the value for a 30-year-old Scotch whisky. Distilled in April 1988 and disgorged in March 2019, 342 bottles of this stonking North British join the ranks.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honey. Is this honey? *Checks label* Nope, it's definitely whisky. Some toast in there too, and biscotti, and treacle. Yummers.
Palate
Cor, yeah. This'll do. Tablet and more of that rich honey. Biscoff. Cuban rum, with mustard seed, crème caramel and leather.
Finish
Long with dark fudge, tobacco leaf and musty spices.
