A single grain Scotch whisky from North British distillery. In 1996, the Lowland whisky was placed in a single refill hogshead for a lengthy 21 years. It was then bottled at cask strength in November 2017 by Hunter Laing for The Sovereign series, in a release of 219 numbered bottles.
Nose: Creamy and sweet with toffee, vanilla, caramel and sweet fresh oak.
Palate: Gentle sweet and rich notes of Demerara sugar, honeycomb and tropical notes of toasted coconut.
Finish: Vanilla and marzipan make for a rounded finish, with a touch more oak appearing.
