Never Say Die Barrel Strength Whiskey (Barrel No. 2)
A tremendous transatlantic bourbon, named after a legendary Kentucky-born racehorse, Never Say Die is distilled in Kentucky before sailing to England to mature. The story goes that the horse endured a rough birth, and was suffering breathing difficulties, but after being poured a shot of whiskey by its owner, it made a dramatic recovery, later going on to stun the racing world with odds-defying success. Following a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley, this expression was matured in a single cask that yielded a total of 240 cask-strength bottles.

Nose
Buttery oak and runny caramel, with wafts of floral vanilla and a dusting of nutmeg.
Palate
Elegant spices emerge with warming cinnamon leading the way. A prickle of pepper is tamed by silky layers of toffee and oaken vanilla.
Finish
Mellow oak and bold spice linger, with a touch of rye heat softened by sweet butterscotch.
