Before Nc'nean's core organic single malt whisky became a continuous line there were batches. And what we have here is batch number eight! These expressions are always marvellous, having been made with organic Scottish barley that is treated to a gentle fermentation and distillation, letting those delicious fruity notes develop in the spirit. Following that, it's matured in a combination of STR (shaved, toasted and re-charred) red wine casks and bourbon casks, bringing yet more fruity notes to the palate, along with creamy vanilla and a whisper of spice. The distinctive bottle Nc'nean presents its whisky in is 100% recycled glass, and looks fabulous too.
Strawberry and orange, digestive biscuits, some rounded honey notes.
Almonds, softly toasted sesame seeds, apricot jam, crisp pear, crystallised ginger.
Orange, white chocolate, and drying cedar.
