A Taiwanese single malt whisky matured in bourbon casks, produced by Nantou, a state-owned distillery which began producing whisky back in 2008.
Lemon and orange peels, a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, runny caramel.
Milk chocolate, toffee, vanilla essence and ripe banana.
Honey'd barley and a touch of dried tropical fruit.

Who knew ....very good indeed ....I used to be a bit of whisky snob ....refusing to acknowledge anything outside Scotland ....
Went to a local store (in Taiwan) an tried a sample of this - very nice, quite a typical bourbon cask whisky, nothing too amazing but you know a good solid foundation and certainly a bargain at the price they were selling (I think equivalent value like 22pounds?) however they had a single barrel, cask strength Omar in stock (1 of of 222) an though it was pricey I bought it... and wow, incredible. The fruit flavours exploding out of the glass were ridiculous and, considering it was bottled at close to 57%, no alcohol burn to speak of. Their product is really good, but if you can find a way to get hold of their single cask stuff it will blow your mind.
Extremely harsh. No recognizable flavors. It’s so foul that I suspect I bought a fake bottle, but it came from a supposedly reputable store, Jio Tao Chung, in Taipei.
Amazing
Excellent notes of apricot, apple and citrus. Nose is nice but rather strong. I may have had a special bottle which was only aged 4 years, it had a rather strong bite which initially was not enjoyable, could do with some more aging. However excellent flavor.
