The Speysiders 11 Year Old 2009 - The Vatting (Murray McDavid) (2021 Release)
It's another fabulous batch of The Speysiders from Murray McDavid's The Vatting collection! Combining a skillful blend of four single malts from some of Speyside's best distilleries, the whiskies were first matured in bourbon barrels before being blended, then finished in freshly emptied Pedro Ximènez sherry casks. Bottled in 2021, after 11 years of maturation, a total of 1,102 bottles was released. A splendid Speyside dram indeed!

Nose
Fruity flapjack, spiced nuts, and rich, malty coffee.
Palate
Chocolate coated nuts and raisins, creamy barley, syrupy biscuits.
Finish
Boozy sultanas and caramel raisins, diced nuts and warming spices.
