From Murray McDavid's Mystery Malt range (which boasts exciting whiskies from undisclosed distilleries as well as a name bursting at the seams with alliteration) comes a 20 year old secret Speyside single malt. It was initially aged in a Sherry butt before enjoying a finishing period in a Château Talbot barrique.
Huge wafts of dark fruit, with a drizzle of honey and spiced rum.
Prunes, hazelnuts and an underlying hint of dark chocolate mousse.
Clove and oak, with continued stewed plum sweetness.
