Muckle Flugga Single Malt

Muckle Flugga Single Malt Bottling Note

A single malt Scotch whisky from the Muckle Flugga range, named after a small island in the Shetland Islands. The whisky (which comes from the Speyside region) is aged in "first-use Sherry oak casks", and are then taken up to the remote archipelago to age for another year, experiencing the harsh seasons before being returned to the mainland for bottling. The range is known for their blended malt expression.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Ripe orchard fruits, dried raisins, rich honey and touches of sweet Sherry.

Samuel L Jackson voice remember!!!!
New rule, you HAVE to use the voice of Samuel L Jackson any time you say or think of the name of this whisky.

It's a good dram for the money, wish it had a higher ABV though.

I drink whisky every evening. Usually bland but effective. Tonight, a gifted bottle of Muckle Flugga. CA-BOOM!! Great flavour, a full mouth full. Beautiful.

Bought a bottle as a keepsake
The remote archipelago is in fact the island of Unst, the most northerly island in the Shetland Isles, Muckle Flugga being the most Northerly Lighthouse on the island (and a great spot for fishing sea when I was a lad)

Lovely uncomplicated dram
I've just had a taster of this, and enjoyed it very much. It had a nice wood taste, well balanced and fresh with a pleasant bite. Very moreish. I might pick up a bottle.

Delicious
A beautifully sherried whisky. Delicious. It reminds me very much of that other travelled whisky - Nomad. Keep up the good work.
