Mosgaard Single Malt Whisky - Port Wine Cask (Batch 4)
From Mosgaard in Denmark, it's the fourth batch of spectacular single malt, matured in Port casks! Not just any Port casks mind, these have been custom built by the clever gang at Mosgaard, combining staves from old Ruby and Tawny Port casks. The result is a sweetly fruity and delicately spiced sipper, excellent after a cheese board!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Dark, vinous fruit with roasted coffee, hints of toasted oak, and sweet cake spice.
Palate
Red fruit jam, hints of sultanas and plums, crushed nuts lead to spicy wafts of currant buns.
Finish
Sweet biscuity barley, soft caramel, dark pressed fruits, a prickle of spicy oak.
