21-year-old single malt from Mortlach, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The label shows The Beast of Dufftown causing mayhem in the streets, rolling people around in whisky barrels!
Batch 10 is a release of 769 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Delicate floral notes, supple tannins and gingery heat move through rich layers of luscious vanilla, golden syrup and beeswax. Plenty of glazed and crystallised fruits add depth.
Palate
Wood spices prickle through lemon sherbets, soft peaches and a pleasantly bitter orange marmalade note. Dark chocolate, roasted chestnut, rich toffee and a touch of gamey meat develops as the palate progresses.
Finish
Long and wonderfully drying with earthy, herbal spices.
Overall
Deep, delicious and wonderfully complex in signature Mortlach style.
