Always a treat when it indie Mortlach arrives at MoM Towers! This marvellous Mortlach spent 20 years maturating in a single cask, following distillation in 11 March 1997. It was bottled at a cask strength 50.2% ABV for the Mackillop's Choice range in September 2017, with an outturn of just 194 bottles, so make haste!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: As soft malt and acacia honey make way for buttery biscuit and filo pastry, creamy vanilla, spiced pears and white pepper rise.

Palate: Seedless raisins, jam doughnuts and sugary oat biscuits give sweetness, before a subtle herbal note and peppery oak spices temper things.

Finish: Over walnuts and a spicier malt is lasting vanilla and wood spice.
