A cask strength, 22 year old Mortlach from Duncan Taylor's Rare Auld range. This was distilled in September 1989 and was aged in cask 4036 before bottling in October 2011. A release of 317 bottles.
Nose: Cocoa, perfume, juniper, malt, hints of beeswax, manuka honey, pepper, calves leather.
Palate: Hot, spicy and rich. Notes of beeswax again, dried apricots, spice and pepper.
Finish: Spices, pepper and apple peel.
