Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 2012
3798

From the London Wine Merchants BBR, this was distilled at the Mortlach distillery in 1998 before 13 years in cask 3798. It was bottled at natural cask strength with neither chill-filtration nor caramel-colouring in 2012. Lovely stuff.
Fresh and fragrant, with honey and fresh fruits. Warm pastries and anise, a little rose water too.
Honey and malt, Nice biscuits (really Nice ones) and almond oil. Creamy and thick.
Copper, oak and toffee.

Light, clean, crisp aroma. Wow... Powerful flavour (maybe due to the 56.8% alcohol!), Very round flavour, rich, tarte tatin, caramel... Delicious!
