Millstone 7 Year Old (cask 2636) - Dràm Mòr
Seven-year-old single malt from the Netherlands! This Millstone spent its time maturing in a first-fill oloroso sherry cask, yielding a total of 330 bottles when it was opened by indie bottler Dràm Mòr.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Waves of buttery toffee, dark chocolate, and liquorice, with coffee grounds, charred oak, and a whiff of menthol in the distance.
Palate
Dark chocolate coffee beans join biscuity malt, with coffee and walnut cake in tow. Anise and pepper join some herbaceous notes beneath.
Finish
That chocolate character lingers for the finish, with waves of chilli flakes and nutmeg bringing some heat.
