Released in 2011, Midleton's Barry Crockett edition was named after the distillery's master distiller, and it is aged in both bourbon and new American oak barrels! Very interesting indeed and a limited release of around 2,500 bottles per year.
Soft, sweet notes of barley, floral honey, rosemary, citrus, cut hay, Summer meadows and toffee apples.
Sweet tobacco leaves and cedar, sugared peels, toffee, honey softness, vanilla and boiled sweets.
Very creamy and vanilla-rich, cinnamon and a little pear drop on the tail.
We started our Irish whiskey odysesy in Galway and finished it in Midleton at the Jameson distillery where the Legacy is produced. The Legacy, like the island, is warm and welcoming.
Fantastic! Tried and bought while in Dublin recently. Very complex and one of the best we tried among all the pubs we visited. Wish we could buy here in the States.

As an avid Irish Whiskey drinker with 58 different Irish Whiskeys in my current collection, this is my favorite, had heard about it and decided to try a small glass of it at a local Irish Pub, took a sip and instantly knew this was the best Irish Whiskey I had ever had, very good from start to finish, great nose, complex flavors, very smooth and a great finish, no bad notes at all!
