The 2022 release of this much-lauded, small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey which celebrates a famous 19th-century distillery of the same name. Only 1,234 bottles (nice) of Bomberger's Declaration were filled for this release, at a hefty 54% ABV.
Sweet tobacco, red apple skins, and oak char are joined by deep, rich layers of caramel and hints of ginger.
Crème brûlée, dark chocolate, and cinnamon lead with hints of red berries, stewed fruit, cedar, and a little orange peel.
Aromatic spice and toffee lingers.
