Teaspoon B 36 Year Old 1989 Single Cask (Master of Malt)
Behold! A marvellous teaspooned malt whisky from the Dufftown region! Teaspooning refers to a blended whisky that's made up of a majority of single malt from one distillery, with just a smidge from another. This one dates back to 1989 and spent a whopping 36 years maturing in a single first-fill bourbon cask for layers of juicy melon, honey, and fudge. A release of 316 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Green apple, juicy fruit salad, creamy vanilla, buttered toast. Notes of shortbread, choc chip muffins, and honeyed porridge develop in time.
Palate
Juicy melon coats the palate, with a sprinkling of icing sugar and powerful, woody spice. Fudgy vanilla sweetness, toasted almonds, and buttery biscuits balance old oaken warmth.
Finish
That tropical, juicy fruit lingers, with characterful spice, a touch of pepper and nutmeg warmth, buttery pastry, apple sauce, doughy bread, and summer berry sweetness.
