Nose A bold opening with thick, briny, tarry peat smoke. Stewed red fruits nestle beneath, alongside hints of hibiscus and rooibos tea. In time, notes of burnt custard, popcorn, stone fruits, and vanilla develop.
Palate Robust, with dense notes of coal smoke and pungent, herbaceous peat, smoked peppercorns and salted caramel. Dried cranberry, grilled apricot, and beneath, some buttery vanilla shortbread.
Finish Creamy oak, burnt butter, vibrant smoke, charred herbs, sourdough with salted butter, chocolate, and a touch of medicinal peat.
