Nose: Dry and distinctly Island in style, with a waft of cool wood smoke lying somewhere underneath a sweet/salty note. Good malt notes, some spice, vanilla from the oak.
Palate: A great balance between a malty, almost caramel-like sweetness, and hints of oily smoke. It becomes more oily, with a touch of bergamot late palate.
Finish: Good length, mouth-coating, with a pinch of nutmeg.
Overall: A spiced, rich whisky.
