Description
We're proud to introduce you to the third edition of our 40 Year Old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from our Secret Bottling Series. Distilled by a fantastic Speyside distillery and matured for four decades, this exceedingly rare whisky boasts a sensationally impressive flavour profile, with a tremendous nose and elegant, satisfying finish to match. We're also extremely proud that it was named Best Single Malt Scotch Over 21 Years Old at the International Spirits Challenge 2016!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Mince pies (complete with buttery pastry), plump raisins and cacao come forward immediately. Give it a minute for notes of Swedish pepper cookies to appear, followed by two scoops of raspberry ripple and rum-raisin ice cream.
Palate
Stewed plums dusted with baking spices with glimmers of crystallised ginger. Dark chocolate dipped in honey, complimented by nutty notes and oak-y warmth.
Finish
Continuing cinnamon, with juicy apple and sultana carrying on throughout the very long finish.
Overall
This one shines spectacularly - a first-class 40 year old single malt.
