We've picked up a special haul from Islay for our exclusive Master of Malt collection! This generously aged 1990 vintage single malt hails from a secret Islay distillery, and was originally filled into a refill hogshead, then finished its 32 year maturation in an oloroso sherry octave. A release of 135 bottles. Ready. Steady. Go!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Burnt biscuits, cinder toffee, baked apple, roasty, earthy coffee with vanilla cream, treacle, candied bacon, meaty malt, rooibos tea, hints of goji berries and spiced toffee apples.
Palate
A big Islay welcome with peppery, pungent peat smoke and oily tar, salted caramel and charred seaweed, balanced by grilled red plums, dark chocolate raisins, smoked toffee, and leathery old oak.
Finish
Thick, dense toffee, rich, oily smoke, old oak, charred, candied herbs, balsamic poached pear, cracked peppercorns, then waves of sweet, sherried fruit, stewed berries, and cigar box spice.
