Maker's Mark Cellar Aged 2024 Release

Maker's Mark Cellar Aged is a new version of its wheated bourbon, aged an extra five to six years in a cool limestone cellar, added in 2016. Unlike regular Maker’s Mark, which is aged about six years in varied rickhouse conditions, Cellar Aged matures in a consistent climate, deepening its flavour without excessive tannins or bitterness.

The 2024 Maker's Mark Cellar Aged release is the second in the series, using the standard Maker's mash bill (70% corn, 16% red winter wheat, 14% malted barley) and blending mostly 13-year-old barrels with a smaller portion of 12-year-old ones. Maker's Mark remains faithful to its signature flavour so the innovation here is driven by how the cellar’s stable environment can mirror Scottish aging practices, allowing for a controlled, long-term flavour development.
