Description

Behold, it's Maker's Mark, but bottled at cask strength! If you're a big fan of the classic bourbon (made with a mash bill featuring red winter wheat instead of rye), and you're also a fan of whiskies with a big flavour profile, this is exactly what you're after.

Nose

Loads of vanilla, softly toasted sugar and cask char to enjoy here, plus a touch of cherry.

Palate

Brown sugar, rum-soaked raisin, caramelised walnuts, spun sugar, Christmas spices and whiffs of smoke.

Finish

More winter spices mellowed by waves of vanilla.

The best, sweetest, most magical, most heavenly dram I have ever had.

Excellent expression

Batch 20-04, 54.5% ABV Notes of brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, tobacco, soft for the proof. Taste of oak, spice, cinnamon, brown sugar, vanilla, tobacco. Finish is long, with tobacco, oak and cinnamon. Surprisingly light mouthfeel. Will definitely keep exploring the cask strength bottlings.
