23 year old Macduff, bottled for the Golden Cask range by the House of Macduff. How apt. It was drawn from a single cask that was laid down in 1992 and cracked open and bottled in 2015 at an eye-watering 64.6%. This single malt Scotch whisky had an outturn of 223 bottles.
Fresh barley, orchard fruits and plenty of floral honey.
Through drying oak spices come exotic fruits, nutty brown bread and white chocolate.
Honeyed oak and sweet tobacco linger.
