Sherry

Single cask Macduff, independently bottled by Claxton's. This expression was aged in a sherry butt for 14 years, and bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 632 bottles.
Brown sugar, red grapes, coffee beans.
Orange and lemon, with underlying hints of raisin. Buttery at points.
Slightly grassy, though sweet sherry notes continue on in the background.

Beautiful Whiskey light on the palate but full of flavour and a long finish. Very reminiscent of a good quality grain with sweet butterscotch notes and no harsh notes. As with all decent whiskey the alcohol comes in as a soothing warmth not a hit and does not really require any water.
