Darkness! Macduff 19 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish
A 19 year old single malt from the Macduff distillery in Aberdeenshire, independently bottled as part of the Darkness! range. Before bottling, the whisky endured a finishing period in a specially-coopered, 50 litre Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, imparting a wealth of sherried deliciousness. Just 55 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sherried peels, plum pudding, a very light hint of green olive underneath.
Palate
Sugary coffee, honey, brandied cherries and a touch of oak-y cinnamon.
Finish
Lingering strawberry and cassia.
