An incredible really well-aged old Macduff, distilled in 1968 and matured for a full 40 years! Staggering stuff from Duncan Taylor…

Nose

Charcoal, butterscotch and smoked meats. Some cocoa, a little sweetness, coffee beans and toffee apples.

Palate

Good body, tropical fruits, pine resin, aniseed and tar. Very fruity, lots of thick, creamy malt too.

Finish

Good length with notes of pepper, freshly cut hay and spice.
