This impressive limited edition single malt Scotch joins the Mac-Talla range of glorious Islay whiskies from undisclosed distilleries. This expression spent its entire maturation in a selection of 24 casks that previously held Bordeaux red wine, and the tangle of coastal peat smoke, aromatic oak, and unctuous red fruits are a heavenly match!
Since I left a review on this spectacular dram I have thoroughly enjoyed 3 bottles - so much so that when MOM had an offer in the run up to Christmas this year I purchased 3 bottles at the same time. Once sampled you will understand my obsession with this malt. Nuff said me thinks.
Perfection. My SMWS membership will not be renewed because of this malt. Not to be poured unless you really have the time to completely experience this wonderful dram. From the nose to the palate and back to the nose this has to be one of the most enjoyable whiskies I have ever sampled. Nirvana.
This expression is by far my favourite from the mac-talla range. You can really taste the wine on the finish. If you fancy something a little lighter, this whisky is for you!
i tried this at a whisky show and i had to buy! Full bodied and very moreish... my kind of dram!
This is a divine dram! Full bodied, luxurious and a joy to savour just as long as you give it time in the glass to relax and open up.
